CAT Zoom Boom

CAT Zoom Boom

The telescopic lift truck would usually have a lengthened lift which utilizes an arm or crane to come over top of a truck. This type of forklift would allow you to raise loads higher and with greater control. This additional control is because of the fact that you are moving the cargo on the crane's end, which is known as a telescopic boom.

The load when placed on the forklift can move both towards and away from the forklift cab, that is a unique feature that a traditional lift truck cannot accomplish. The telescopic forklifts can provide both height and versatility. The telescopic forklift is super common within the agricultural and construction businesses. In addition, they are an excellent choice in circumstances where you should work with something which requires more control that a regular lift truck.

Frame Tilt
The frame tilt is a particular feature which is common to telehandlers. The operator could activate controls to alter the side to side or lateral angle of the frame. This particular frame could be moved 10 to 15 degrees in either direction from horizontal. There is a liquid filled tube which is curved and mounted within the cab. This is the level indicator or frame tilt indicator and works like a carpenter's level. It has a bubble indicator which indicates the frame's lateral angle relative to the ground. This is a very helpful device which is used to ensure the frame is level prior to raising the boom in rough environments.

Steering
Rear wheel steering is offered on several telehandler models, that is similar to a vertical mast type unit. Most models provide 3 steering options which the operator can select; front, crab and circle steering. For example, if the operator selects the "front" steering option, only the equipment's front wheels will react to the movement of the steering wheel.
