The design philosophy at Peiner has always revolved around delivering grabs that handle the biggest volume of material vs. grab dead weight. The regular handling ratio for Peiner grabs and buckets is about 60/40, meaning material dead weight of 60 percent versus grab dead weight of 40 percent. This translates into moving greater quantities of materials quicker. There is less wear and tear on the structure of the crane and its related components.
