Use a Pneumatic Forklift
Pneumatic forklifts are common in warehouse and shipping operations. Also called pump trucks or pallet trucks, they are utilized in order to move materials and things around on wooden pallets utilizing metal forks which are mounted on a wheeled counterweight. The counterweight contains a pump which can raise the forks off the ground. A pallet truck is intended to be operated by one individual.
Pallet trucks must be operated carefully in order to prevent loss of control while lifting heavy loads. Equipment should be checked before operating. Clear the wheels area of any obstacle. Make sure that the handle smoothly turns. The pallet must be stacked carefully to be able to guarantee that nothing will fall off during transportation.
To lower the forks and release air in the pump, squeeze the lever found on the inside of the metal loop on the end of the pallet truck's handle. The forks could then be pushed into the pallet slots. The forks should be in the middle in order to guarantee even distribution of the pallet's weight across them. Lift the forks from the ground by pumping the handle of the pneumatic lift until the pallet has cleared the ground completely. Do not lift the pallet very high or the forklift can unbalance.
Move the pallet by pulling on the handle and dragging it behind you. It is dangerous to push the pallet ahead of you since the momentum can cause it to lose control. Take turns slowly and don't try to stop suddenly. Stop gradually, squeeze the lever, and the forks will lower to the ground. Finally, remove the forks from the pallet by pulling them out. Return the pallet truck to its permanent location.
