Heavy Forklifts
Hyundai is aiming for a new customer base with their new range of heavy forklift trucks. Various businesses, from the natural stone and concrete businesses, to the steel industry, the railway sector and the transportation of heavy goods in the ports are all depending upon and working with heavy duty equipment. The efficiency and power provided by the units keep cost of operation low and offer the best conditions for economical work. These types of equipment can excel in the nearly all tough environments.
Providing the required power on all of the large capacity models, the Cummins diesel engine varies from 162 horse-power to 250 horse-power. TierIII emission standards are met with engines that have 6 cylinders. These models can take the truck up to a speed of 35 km/h. It provides for a high climbing ability on rough terrain and steep slopes and also offers great acceleration.
The operator could utilize a switch in order to select 1 of 2 driving modes. When in "Power" mode, full power is available for work on difficult terrain or heavy loads. In the "STP" mode, the trucks could save a lot of fuel during light-duty work. Additionally, just by pressing a switch, the operator could automatically maintain a chosen speed without touching the accelerator pedal. This is an added fuel saving feature. The fully automatic transmission of the forklift gently shifts through the gears, making the equipment easy to maneuver and comfortable to operate.
The well-ventilated cabin provides a comfortable and spacious working place. The cabin combines fatigue-free work with high performance. The powerful heating and air conditioning system helps make sure that the operator is comfortable inside. The cab was designed ergonomically to give a bird's eye view of all of the controls, adding to the unit's overall safety. A CD player and an MP3 player put the finishing touches on providing the nice atmosphere that Hyundai machines are reputed to have.
