CareLift Equipment has been engineering and making excellent rough terrain forklifts ever since 1962. Every day the company strives to deliver value and help their consumers reach their goals because they know the bottom line is reliability and performance.
There are 2 general kinds of boom lifts. These models are articulated boom lifts and straight boom lifts. Usually, these units are hydraulically powered. Most commonly straight booms are the great alternative for jobs which need a high reach with no obstructions. The turntable on the machinery is capable of rotating three hundred sixty degrees with an extendable boom. This extendable boom could be raised vertically to below horizontal. Since the operator could steer and maneuver the vehicle while the boom is completely extended, it is a versatile machinery. These units are available in 2 wheel drive or 4 wheel drive, as well as propane, gas or diesel configurations.
The articulated boom lifts are used for tasks that need to reach up and over obstacles so as to gain access. These specialized lifts are used for jobs which are not easily completed by straight telescopic booms. These lifts are almost like the straight boom lift in most aspects except in the boom's ability to articulate. There are different articulation points on the boom in order to allow it to bend in a range of different directions allowing it to move around any objects easily in the work environment.
Several heavy-duty boom lifts come equipped with outriggers so as to maintain stability while the boom lift is completely extended. The outriggers provide the operator with some extra confidence and safety. Correct training is required before using boom lifts in order to guarantee the operator, the jobsite and everybody working in the vicinity stays safe.
Boom lifts enable jobs which used to require a lot more man power to be done in a much shorter time period. These equipment have revolutionized the material handling industry and have greatly increased production.
